Adult Advocacy
We provide advocacy for adults with care and support needs. We try to make sure that peoples’ wishes, feelings and needs are heard.
Please select which type of advocacy you require:
For people to understand their rights under the Care Act and to be a part of the care review, local authority assessment and care support planning or safeguarding process.
We can advocate if the following three things apply:
- Live in Wigan Borough
- Have a ‘substantial’ difficulty
- Do not have an appropriate person to help
To support parents with a learning disability going through or about to go through care proceedings and would like advocacy support.
For people who have a disability and would like general support and advice and Care Act would not apply.
