Embark on a life changing adventure and begin a challenging outdoor experience with Embrace.
We have up to 15 places to support young people aged 14-18 years old build friendships, learn skills and be challenged! Each group lasts 1 year and a new cohort will start again in April 2024.
Two different start times available:
5:30pm till 8pm
Dinner with us: £6 per person per session
6pm till 8pm
No dinner: £4 per session
Who can join
The group is open to young adults between the ages of 14-18 years. This is an inclusive group and is suitable for people with different abilities and disabilities.
How much
There is a one off charge of £25 per person attending which includes:
- Embroidered polo shirt
- Own drinking bottle
If a participant has a Direct Payment they may need to bring support with them.

The majority of the weekly sessions will run from:

However this will vary depending on the weekly activities. (in the Wigan Borough)
Activities
The group runs for 40 weeks between April 2023 and April 2024 term time only with a few exceptions for outdoor expeditions. Outdoor exploration is a key part of this group and covers the following areas:
- Cooking and Food
- Health and Community
- Nature and Outdoor
- Camping and Physical Activities
Sessions will be tailored for each individual attending to make it as inclusive as possible. The group will also be able to have free use of the sensory room if needed.
