Let’s Connect is a Big Lottery funded project that helps people who are socially isolated or lonely back into their community and build support networks around those wanting to make new connections, the majority of this support is based at our community hub.
The project is open to anyone over the age of 18 at risk of social isolation or loneliness.
Community Groups
Let’s Connect aims to support adults who feel lonely or isolated to get involved, engaged and connected with their communities by linking them with local activities they enjoy. You can refer to this service via the website and we will contact you to suggest groups based on individuals interests or hobbies.
We also run our own community groups, these are available digitally and around the borough which can be viewed on our website.
Walk and Talks
Walk and talk is a service under the let’s connect project supporting individuals over the age of 18 who are isolated in the community. We support people across Wigan and Leigh to feel less secluded by helping them get access our natural environment. The project consists of meeting someone for a walk and a chat in a local park or green area, once a week for six weeks.
