My role:

I am one of the Let’s Connect Fieldworker and I have recently come to work at Embrace.

Let’s connect is a lottery-funded project aimed at reducing social isolation for adults across the borough.

We assist people to achieve their goals in becoming more independent, socialising, doing hobbies they love and becoming part of the local community.

I come from a mental health and dementia background and really enjoying helping others. I enjoy getting crafty and problem-solving in my role.

I am happy to work with and have the support of an amazing team.

My Item:

I chose my wooden animal because I love nature and animals so thought it would be a good fit.

I have a collection of wooden animals at home which I have on display.

I try to buy them from the Manchester Christmas markets every year.

It reminds me of Christmas ( one of my favourite times of the year) and my time living in Manchester.
