Zoey Wade
Community Fieldworker
My role:
The role is very diverse and depends on where the referral has come from – with Parent Support I mainly listen to the family and see where there is something that I can do such as make a referral, access a service, give some information or sign post.
Quite often I support families at meeting as an advocate and this role is very important to me because for some families they find themselves in very isolating and sometimes upsetting circumstances and I feel that is it very important that they have someone to talk to, feel listened to in a non judgemental way.
I do this job because as a parent I know how important it is to have information and make connections. Having a little bit of support in the past really helped our family and i think having access to Embrace is priceless.
My item:
we have these ponies all over the house – currently this one lives in the bathroom. My daughter has been collecting them for years, she customises them to make them individual – I love this one it very unique its a Unicorn, pegasus, pirate pony – the only one of its kind – just like my daughter. xx
