Nicole Robertson
Let's Connect - Circles Co-ordinator
My role:
My role is to work alongside Beth on the Let’s Connect project to promote inclusion and reduce social isolation in adults across the borough. I set up Circles of Support for individuals to create and strengthen their social network, and build positive future plans with people that are important to them. We have a great team of volunteers who facilitate the circles of support, or sit on a circle as a valued member. I also lead our Adventure Service Challenge project together with Louise, which is an inclusive 16 week course for children aged 8-13 to develop life skills and make new friends. Also; if you attend any of our Embrace training courses, you may see me creating graphics for the day.
My item:
My special item is my Nemo keyring! I LOVE all Disney; but Finding Nemo is my favourite film. Myself and nemo also have a few things in common. A massive passion of mine is to travel and explore new places; I lived in Australia for a while (as did nemo) and I tend to get lost… a lot! I love to go on new adventures, and my family and friends are extremely important to me. Like nemo, I also have a lucky fin (injured left arm) but it doesn’t stop me from trying to live life to the full!
