Our inclusive and accessible Duke of Edinburgh scheme is aimed at anyone aged 14-19. Participants will attend our weekly meetings at Holy Family School, Platt Bridge, Wigan, WN2 5JU on Wednesday nights 7pm-9pm. At these sessions participants join in with activities to help them achieve their award.
The Duke of Edinburgh scheme requires participants to complete 5 sections: Skill, physical, volunteer, residential and expedition. Our scheme is designed to make sure anyone who is willing to participate can complete all 5 sections no matter what their level of ability is.

What are Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards?
Bronze
Award
For ages 14+ with 3 months volunteering, 2 day (1 night) expedition, 3 month physical section and 3 month skills section
Silver
Award
For ages 15+ with 6 months volunteering, 3 day (2 night) expedition, 6 month physical section and 3 month skills section.
Gold
Award
For ages 16+ with 12 months volunteering, 4 day (3 night) expedition, 12 month physical section and 6 month skills section.
