In 1999 we started off as Wigan & Leigh Scope, helping people with a very small staff of 2 however we have grown over the years into a prominent advocate for disabilities. In 2006 we changed our name to Embrace Wigan and Leigh and we commemorated the day by having our Relaunch Ball at the JJB Stadium. Our Organisation is run by an Executive Management Committee made up of disabled people, family members, local business professionals, health care professionals and co-opted members. We also have a membership which receives, information, advice, support, advocacy as well as a regular newsletter. We welcome everyone to join us either as members or to sit on our Management Committee. We want the membership to guide the organisation and provide us with the vision for the future. To become a member you will need to fill out a membership form which you can request from our office, or simply register your interest online. |
